Friday, May 1

Pachyderm Club will meet at noon at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room. Speakers will be state Sen. Kris Hansen, Rep. Stephanie Hess and Rep. G. Bruce Meyers. The public is welcome to attend this no-host luncheon.

Saturday, May 2

Janine Harada benefit and memorial dinner will be 3 to 7 p.m. at the District 4 HRDC Bulding Dining Hall, 2229 5th Ave. Cost for the chili dinner and dessert is a free will donation. The event will include a silent auction.

MSU-Northern graduation ceremony starts at 10 a.m. in the Armory Gymnasium.

Sunday, May 3

Havre Public Schools’ Salute to Senior Citizens will provide a free meal and entertainment at Havre Middle School for anyone old enough to qualify for a senior discount. The entertainment will spotlight student talents.

Tuesday, May 5

Fossil Festival organizational meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Box Cars. Anyone interested in helping with the Labor Day weekend event is encouraged to attend. For more information, call Margie at 265-7721.

The Hi-Line Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Village Mall Community Center at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, May 6

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This week's theme and craft celebrate Mothers Day The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, May 7

Peggy Thune fundraiser at Pizza Hut will be all day with proceeds going toward medical expenses related to Peggy's cancer treatments. Customers just need to say that they are donating to the fundraiser and 20 percent of the receipt amount will be donated.

The Havre Middle School Bands and Jazz Bands will present their “POPS” Concert at 7 p.m. in the Middle School Assembly Room.  There is no charge for the concert, and everyone is welcome.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Friday, May 8

Coffee with CASA will be at Holiday Village Mall outside The Press from 1 to 5 p.m. People can learn more about CASA and its role in protecting the community's children.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
