Friday, Aug. 1

A LAD Project art show featuring Kelly Kaftan will be on display in August and September at the Havre-Hill County Library meeting room. The show will include a special presentation of artwork from Kelly's daughters. It is a free show and the public is invited to come view it.

Sobriety Walk begins at 9 a.m. at Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation Agency and goes to the powwow grounds.

The Ultimate Warrior Challenge begins at 11 a.m. at Bonneau Dam on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.

2014 Mary LaMere Memorial Tie-down Roping competition, open to all ropers, begins with registration at noon and competition at 1 p.m. at Sybil Sangrey-Colliflower Memorial Arena, 3 miles east of Box Elder.

50th Annual Rocky Boy Celebration begins at 6 p.m. at Chippewa Cree Powwow Grounds on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.

2014 CCRA INFR Tour Rodeo begins at 6 p.m. at Sybil Sangrey-Colliflower Memorial Arena, 3 miles east of Box Elder.

"Sympathy Jones," a MAT youth musical production, will begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. at the MSU-Northern Little Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, and free for Northern students with a valid student ID.

Saturday, Aug. 2

The Memorial 4-Man Golf Tournament begins at 8 a.m. at Signal Point Golf Course in Fort Benton.

Saturday Market is set for 8 a.m. to noon in Town Square, with vendors selling food, produce, craft, arts and more.

Storytime during Saturday Market, sponsored by Havre-Hill County Library, will be held in Town Square from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Books will be read aloud to children accompanied by an adult, with a new book starting every 15 minutes. This is a free event.

Sunday, Aug. 3

Monday, Aug. 4

Blaine County 4-H fundraising concert will be 7 p.m. at Chinook High School auditorium. Tickets are on sale at $10 per person and proceeds will go to upgrade the Chuckwagon. For more information and tickets, call the Blaine County Extension Office at 357-3200.

A four-day British Soccer Camp for youth ages 6-19 begins today at the Havre High Soccer Fields. Interested youth can sign up online at challengersports.com or by contacting Becky David at 265-2102 or bdavid@bresnan.net.

Tuesday, Aug. 5

A Bridges Out of Poverty two-day workshop will be at Havre High Auditorium 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. starting this day. Topics will include moving individuals from poverty to self-sufficiency, reducing social costs of poverty and building sustainable communities. Everyone is encouraged to attend. The Hi-Line Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Village Mall Community Center at 7 p.m.

Kicks @ 6 will feature The Other Bros and Sistas band in La Bamba, Salsa and Latin Music, at 6 p.m at Pepin Park.

Sounds on the Square will feature the music of Enzymatic from 6 to 8 p.m. at Town Square. Local vendors fundraising for nonprofits and selling food, crafts and more set up at the Square and nearby businesses

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
