The Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line performed a ceremonial groundbreaking to celebrate the start of construction for the new addition to their building.
The 4,000 square-foot addition will contain a multi-purpose room and kitchen. Currently, the club is cooking meals on hot plates and George Foreman grills. When they are cooking for children, they could be cooking 180 dinners a night.
The board has not reached its goal of $1.8 million just yet, but Endowment Director Rachel Dean said they are close enough that they feel comfortable beginning the work now....

I remember years back the hassle the city put me through for permits for a little addition I added to my business because I was short the required off street parking. Surely they didn't issue permits for a bigger building without more parking. Or did they?
