Local Bowling Report: Burrington and Mapes leading No-Tap tourney

Ten Pin Chatter

The score of 1,758 bowled by Alicia Burrington and Ryan Mapes is still holding down the top spot after the second weekend of play in the Annual No-Tap Mixed Doubles. Second and third also remain the same with Michele and Doug Denny and Julie Rodgers and Shawn Mariani in those positions.

Pep’s Lanes in Big Sandy completed their tournament with Maggie Richter and Shawn Webster taking the top spot there. Several area bowlers are traveling to Reno, Nev., to bowl in the U.S.B.C. National tournament. Results will be in next week's article. One item worth mentioning is that Chris Pappas (Pappy as he is called) is competing in his 31st consecutive tournament.
