Frank G. Kiedrowski 89, of Hogeland, Mont., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family of natural causes Feb. 22, 2014, in Kirkland Wash. Vigil services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 7 p.m., at the Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook. Funeral services will be Monday, March 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Hogeland. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

The youngest of three siblings, Frank was born June 16, 1924, in Hogeland to Peter and Mary (Gabrich) Kiedrowski. He attended school and graduated from Hogeland High School. He married Lorraine Cichosz July 31, 1945, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Hogeland, and together they made their home on his father's farm north of Hogeland. They were blessed with seven children.

Frank enjoyed the life of farming. He liked the community spirit and good neighbor attitude. As the children started going to school, Frank and Lorraine built a home in Havre and would reside there in the winter months so the children could get a Catholic education. Then, back to the farm for the summer months. After 25 years of moving back and forth, Frank built a new home on the farm and they lived there year- round. In 1996, Frank and Lorraine retired, turning the farm over to their son (Dan). Frank and Lorraine wintered in St. George, Utah, and would return to Great Falls for the summers. In 2004, they began staying in Great Falls year-round until June 2011, when they moved to Kirkland, Wash.

Frank was very competitive. He was good at whatever sport or activity he decided to take on. In the early years there was a lot of camping and fishing weekends. He took up golf around the age of 60 and was very good at it (getting a hole in one). He golfed well into his 80s. He played horseshoes, was state champ in his class, went to nationals and placed there as well. If you could beat Frank at horseshoes, you knew you had really done well. He played cards, and his favorite was poker. He seemed to be very skilled at it or maybe just very lucky, (always winning). Frank enjoyed watching basketball on TV, as he played in high achool and watched his sons play as they grew up. He was a good provider and very family orientated. He liked being with his kids and grandchildren and partaking in their lives. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his parent, Pete and Mary, Dorothy (stepmother), his broth, Hubert; sisters, Margaret Alcorn and Dorothy Brummer.

Frank is survived by his wife, Lorraine; sons, Larry of Great Falls, Mont.; Fred (Darla) of Lincoln, Neb., Dan of Hogeland, Kevin of Redmond, Wash., and Kelly (Lisa) of Bothell, Wash.; daughter, Janice (Allen) Fisher of Havre, and Becky (Don) Aselin of Kirkland, Wash.; grandchildren, (Brent, Mark, Greg, Dustin, Chad, Ryan, Kaileigh, Krya, Dane, and Olivia) and great-grandchildren, Layne, Lexie, Hunter, Colby, Jesse and Zachuary.

Contributions in Frank's honor may be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church in Hogeland.
