Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a possible sexual assault reported at 6:52 a.m. Thursday.

Officers investigated a hit-and-run crash reported from 4th Avenue at 9 a.m. Thursday.

During a motor vehicle stop on 13th Street West at 10;32 a.m. Thursday, an officer arrested Cora Horseman Davis, 57, of Harlem on a Justice or City court warrant.

After receiving a report at 11:21 a.m. Thursday of a vehicle running into a 1st Street business, officers investigated the incident.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies serving a warrant at Justice Court at 3:45 p.m. Thursday arrested Emily Jordan Geboe, 27, of Box Elder on a charge of contempt for which justice of the peace may punish.

At 4 p.m. Thursday on 5th Street North, deputies serving a warrant made an arrest initiated by the detention facility administrator, but no further details were provided.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one medical call Thursday. Fire crews responded to a call at 3:12 p.m. to the 1600 block of U.S. Highway 2 Northwest. Someone had noticed smoke along the ceiling of the structure, and water was sprayed on the area, but they requested further assistance. Fire Chief Dave Sheppard said this morning that fire crews removed a portion of the ceiling and found burned and smoldering insulation but no immediate cause for a fire. No injuries or serious damage to the building occurred. The source of the fire is being investigated.
