Local Bowling Report: Hi-Line Lanes Challenge starts Saturday afternoon

Ten Pin Chatter

As the weather continues to get colder the lanes remain hot for the keglers, especially Havre's Roman Surber. He has rolled three 700-series in a row. That feat is remarkable considering most bowlers won’t do that in a lifetime, the low one being 704 while the high one is a 757.

Roman's brother, Kyle, is also on a roll having bowled a “Andy Varipappa 300”, throwing 15 strikes in a row between two games. Congratulations to both bowlers.

The Hi-Line Lanes Challenge will get underway this Saturday at 2 p.m. There's still room for more bowlers. Entry fee is $50, pretty cheap considering other tournaments around the state.

New Year’s Eve sign-ups are being taken for that night’s jackpot.

Youth league will not bowl this weekend but will resume the following Sunday at its regular time. Youth Bowlers may still sign up.

Hi-Line Lanes recently installed a new outside reader board sign by the highway. We hope everyone enjoys reading it. Happy Thanksgiving.
