Brent Giachino

Brent Giachino passed away on Oct. 26, 2013. He was born on March 16, 1945 to Charles and Viola Giachino in Ogden, Utah. Brent attended Ogden City Schools.

Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Army. After the service, Brent began his journey in the food industry which later took him to Havre, Mont. where he lived for the past forty years.

Although he came from simple beginnings, he worked his way through a successful career where he developed an appreciation for fine cuisine.

In 1987, Brent

married Maureen Schneider known to him as “Blondie”. They were married 23 years before her death in 2010.

They both loved to travel. They traveled extensively throughout the United States including Hawaii and Alaska. They loved watching professional ball games. Brent was an avid Yankees fan which took them to New York numerous times. He was also an Oakland Raiders fan so they often visited the west coast. They had taken many cruises. Their last trip was to Europe.

Brent’s other love was his cats. Over the years, Brent and Maureen fostered and treasured many cats; his favorite being “Buzz.”

Brent was a man of few words with a great sense of humor. He was often known for having a good time and will be dearly missed.

Brent is survived by a daughter, Lori, and son, Brent Jay. He is also survived by a brother and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and eldest brother.
