Ten Pin Chatter

October is Learn to Bowl Month. Anyone wanting to learn to bowl or improve their game may sign up for free lessons starting this Saturday at 1 p.m. by calling the lanes at 265-5885.

Classes will run for four weeks and approximately two hours per session.

The New Youth Membership Program will debut in August of 2014. The B.P.A.A. and U.S.B.C. and Bowling Proprietors Assoc. of America and United States Bowling Congress are committing $5 million in support of a new youth membership and activation program. It will lower the costs for families.

Beginning Aug. 1, 2014, the new U.S.B.C. membership will be offered at a price of $4. It will include a membership card, a certified average and the eligibility to participate in U.S.B.C. events. More information will be coming.

The first year bowler knows everything, the second year bowler knows almost everything, the third year bowler knows something, the fourth year bowler knows a little, and the fifth year bowler realizes how much there is yet to learn.
