Havre Police Department

A 1st Avenue caller reported Wednesday at 8:21 a.m. a rental broken into, and officers investigated.

Officers investigated an iPad theft reported Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the police station.

———

Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the police station officers arrested a 33-year-old Chinook man for violations of conditions of release.

———

A caller at a 2nd Street business reported a man and woman fighting Wednesday at 9:15 p.m., and after officers were called back to the business at 10:54 p.m. because the man had returned, they arrested a 42-year-old Box Elder man for criminal trespass to property.

A 33-year-old Havre man in the 24/7 Sobriety Program was arrested for criminal contempt at the police station Thursday at 8:25 a.m.

———

Officers, called for assistance at 3:59 p.m. Thursday, issued a summons to a 48-year-old Havre man for theft and criminal trespass to property.

———

Officers investigated a report made at 4:36 p.m. Thursday of money stolen from a vehicle at the Havre Community Pool on 6th Avenue.

Officers investigated a report made Thursday at 9:43 p.m. of a vandalized vehicle on 17th Street West.

———

After a caller reported people screaming in the street today at 12:13 a.m. on 16th Street West, officers arrested a 20-year-old Havre woman for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and minor in possession and a 24-year-old Rocky Boy man for obstructing and criminal contempt. A 13-year-old was issued a summons for curfew violation.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a report made at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday of a theft at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

A 31-year-old Havre man being held at Hill County Detention Center was served a Justice or City court warrant Wednesday at 2:23 p.m.

———

Deputies investigated a window broken out of a residence reported reported from 11th Street North at 10:26 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies, called Thursday at 9:59 a.m. to deal with transients on Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway property, arrested a 21-year-old Johnson City, Tenn., woman, a 21-year-old Worcester, Mass., man and a 31-year-old Bisbee, Ariz., man, each on a charge of criminal trespass to property.

During a motor vehicle stop on Sucker Creek Road, a deputy arrested a 27-year-old Havre woman for motor vehicle theft and endangering the welfare of children.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls on both Wednesday and Thursday. Fire crews Wednesday responded to a report of a gas smell on the 1300 Block of 6th Street where a leak was found in a gas meter. NorthWestern Energy personnel replaced the faulty pressure valve.
