The Montana Historical Society has announced that the new book by Havre poet, Marged Bernstein, has been chosen to be a part of their permanent collection in Helena.
The book, The Poet & The Wolf, was released late in 2012 and was featured at a poetry and music program at the Havre-Hill County Library.
Bernstein said she was very pleased and honored to have her book selected by the Historical Society. She said that many of the poems were written since she and her husband moved to Havre about three years ago and that they reflect the influence of north central Montana on her writing.
The Poet & The Wolf is also available locally at the Havre-Hill County Library and at the Havre Book Exhange
Bernstein is currently at work on a new book, a novel, that she expects to complete by this summer. She says she is writing it for a younger audience and is enjoying the change of pace.
She says that part of her productivity can be attributed to the environment created by the many wonderful people she has met in the Hi-Line, the beauty of the surrounding countryside, and the time she and her husband spend wandering in the Bear Paws and on the Missouri Breaks.
