The St. Mary Rehabilitation Working Group met Thursday and decided to use state funds they received to pay for an ability-to-pay study to be conducted by the Bureau of Reclamation in preparation for legislation that may change the cost share of repairs to the St. Mary Diversion Dam. Larry Dean Pepos of Elk River, MN, formerly of Havre, MT, passed away February 19, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Larry was born in Great Falls, MT, July 27, 1944, to Sally and Joseph Pepos. He attended school in Great Falls. He joined the U.S. Army in 1962. He was stationed in Germany, honorably discharged in 1965. He married Victoria Letcher in Great Falls; they had two sons, Victor and Larry. They later divorced. He married Jeanne Benner in 1973... Billy Creamer, 91 years old, passed away Feb. 26th, 2021, at his home in Bakersfield, CA. Billy grew up in Havre and graduated in 1948. Billy spent 20-plus years in the U.S. Navy serving his country and retired as a chief petty officer. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jo Creamer; his sister MaryLou Miller, Havre/Gildford; his brother Ric Creamer, Havre/CA; two children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
