Bob Doney, the owner of Bob’s Greenhouse, has been donating to the Havre Food Bank for three years. “This season, he’s donated well over 2,000 pounds of produce,” said Lorna Bjerga, the manager of the food bank for the last year and a half. Doney grows the produce in the garden at his business, Bob’s Greenhouse, which sells garden supplies. HELENA (AP) — A federal judge says the U.S. government has the jurisdiction to prosecute misdemeanor driving offenses on Indian reservations. U.S. Magistrate Judge Keith Strong said in a ruling Tuesday that the U.S. government and tribal government share jurisdiction in victimless crimes involving enrolled tribal members. Nate Rismon, Havre High Football The Havre High football team has a lot of senior leadership. But young players are also stepping up in the wake of the Blue Ponies’ two-game winning streak. One of those young players is sophomore WR/DB Nate Rismon. In Havre’s 41-22 homecoming win over Livingston last Friday night, Rismon caught six passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns. The Montana State University-Northern football team isn’t just back among the Frontier Conference’ elite after five games. The Lights are back amongst the best in the NAIA. Northern moved into the NAIA Coaches Poll Top 25 this week, and for the first time since the 2011 season. It’s hard to believe, but the high school volleyball season has already reached the midway point. This coming weekend, some teams will take a break from conference play to participate in showcases in Fort Benton and Chester, but soon enough, the conference races will heat back up again.
