    Havre City Council member Andrew Brekke said Monday during a meeting of Havre City Council’s Streets and Sidewalks Committee that he would be against a two-cent per gallon countywide gas tax on domestic gasoline to help cover the cost of repairing the city’s streets, saying the cost would be paid more by locals than by tourists. “Let’s not lull ourselves into a false sense of hope that tourists pay all the taxes.     The Havre City Council during its meeting Monday unanimously approved a franchise agreement with Bresnan Communications LLC, which owns Charter Communications, while criticizing a recent decision to close Charter's Havre office.     A man who was arrested at the Amtrak station for bringing marijuana and hashish into Havre with the intent to distribute was sentenced to six years of probation. Seth J. Mimm received a six-year deferred imposition of sentence for a felony count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute and another six-year deferred imposition of sentence for a felony count of use or possession of property subject to criminal forfeiture, all pursuant to a plea deal. The show starts Friday at 6 p.m. in the Commercial Building at the Blaine County Fairgrounds.
