    The Montana Supreme Court recent ruling on an important stream access case represents an alarming expansion of access law at the detriment of property rights. But despite headlines announcing a win for stream access, the court all but ignored the 1,000 pound gorilla in the case: whether Montana’s stream access law is constitutional.   • Solomon: Has scaled back snow removal at fairgrounds

    The Great Northern Fair grounds manager and board members said not much new is in the planning for this year’s fair, with the groundwork set and proceding, although the manager said something new is happening with less snow removal on the grounds. When board member Gus Sharp asked how snow removal is done at the fairgrounds, manager Tim Solomon said he has been doing that himself with his own vehicle and at his own expense.     Every 10 years, the Havre City Council decides whether or not to give voters the chance to decide if they want to create a three-person council to review the city’s government.     Veterans Stand Down, organized by the Veteran’s Administration and the community, seeks to “bring services to veterans and their families,” said a press release from the Fort Belknap Housing Department.
