    U.S.B.C. Youth resumes bowling Sunday after a two week vacation. Remember the leagues start at 1:30 p.m., so everyone is asked to be at least 15 minutes early.     The Hill County Commission is waiting for confirmation that the man elected to Hill County superintendent of schools will not take the position before taking steps to fill the office. Gary Pfister, who won the primary election for the position and was unopposed in November's general election, sent a letter to the commissioners in mid-November saying he would not take the office.     Trustee board approves HHS roof repair plans The Havre Public School District's Board of Trustees held an emergency meeting Tuesday to discuss plans for Havre High School's roof, after last week's collapse. After a half-hour presentation, Superintendent Andy Carlson recommended that the board hire engineers from the Great Falls office of Thomas, Dean & Hoskins to design the roof, repair and update it.   • BNSF: Employment, shipping increase

    Things have picked up for the railroad freight company that runs trains through Havre, although a spokesman says the level of shipments is still below pre-recession numbers. Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway spokesman Gus Melonas said last week that the number of employees working in Montana has increased in the last two years and is expected to continue to move upward.   • Video gambling revenue down 16 percent

    HELENA — State gambling regulators say video gambling revenues have declined over the past two fiscal years, including a 16 percent drop in the most recent reporting period. The Gambling Control Division reported taxes collected from electronic poker and keno machines fell from $62.1 million in fiscal 2009 to $54.2 million in fiscal 2010, which runs from July 2009 through June 2010.     BILLINGS — Montana's governor said Monday he will not block the relocation of 68 bison to two American Indian reservations. Gov. Brian Schweitzer last week declared that no Yellowstone National Park bison could be moved within Montana. He cited mixed messages from the federal government on whether some quarantined bison could harbor the disease brucellosis.     A local organization is trying to get out the word that it is coordinating free services to eligible people to get help preparing tax returns next year, and that it needs people to provide that help. Star Perkins, community development officer at Opportunity Link Inc., said the organization is sharing an $80,000 grant from the U. S.     A man was admitted into the hospital Friday night with a stab wound to the neck received just east of Havre. According to Hill County Sheriff Don Brostrom, 49-year-old Havre man Randall Redeagle, was "going to a residence east of Havre. He went up to the door and was stabbed in the neck.     The early planning is again under way for a decades-old tradition in Havre: A turkey dinner with all the trimmings and holiday companionship, served free-of-charge.
