CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. Ronald Edwin Jordan, 79, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at a California hospital.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at the Chapel of the Valley in Citrus Heights, Calif. Interment with honor guard will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley, Nev.
Ron was born on Jan. 21, 1923, in Buckeye, Wash.
He served his country for seven years during World War II, including service at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.
Ron was a brakeman for the Great Northern Railway in Montana and enjoyed working for his son Jerry in Seattle and Sacramento.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary; daughter, Janell (Dale) Yung; sons, Jerry (Laura) and Jeff (Yvette); eight grandchildren.
