TACOMA, Wash. Patrick J. O'Donnell, 82, of Tacoma, died May 7, 2000 in Tacoma of natural causes.
Funeral Mass was celebrated May 10 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Tacoma, with burial in New Tacoma Cemetery.
O'Donnell was born Jan. 26, 1918 in Kalispell to Charles and Jemima O'Donnell. He grew up in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1936. He graduated from Montana State University.
O'Donnell served as a naval officer during World War Two and the Korean War. He then worked in the laboratory of the Anaconda Copper and Mining Company in Great Falls. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation in 1980 as a manager and operations superintendent after 32 years of service in Spokane, Wash., Oakland, Calif., and Tacoma.
O'Donnell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 40 years, Betty, who died in 1988; six brothers and sisters: Mary, Chuck, Helen, Dick, Bob and Louise.
Survivors include his sister, Jemima Brennan of Great Falls; brother, Wally of Spirit Lake, Iowa; children: Jim, Eileen, Caren, Peggy, Mike, Caytie, and Tom, all of the Seattle/Tacoma area; six grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relations.
