The Hays/Lodgepole track team is prepared for the District 9C track meet on Thursday.
The team members are Shawn R. Grant (shot put, discus), Lester Doney (400 meters, 300-meter hurdles, 1,600-meter relay), Jeremy Walker (200 meters, 400 meters, 400-meter relay), Darwin Doney (shot put discus), Nathan Martin (200 meters, discus, javelin, 1,600-meter relay), Jon Hawley (shot put, discus, javelin, 1,600-meter relay), and Jonas Flansburg (1,600 meters, 3,200 meters, 1,600-meter relay).
The Rocky Boy track team will be in top form for the district meet.
The team that prides itself on its dedication for the sport consists of Fred Coffee, who will participate in the shot put, discus, and javelin.
Tex Eagleman has done well this season, placing in the 400 and 800 meters and also participating in the shot put and discus.
Justin Fourcolors notched a finish last week and will compete in the shot put, discus, javelin, and long jump.
Nathan Meyers (shot put, discus, javelin), Monty Small (200, 400, 3,200, long jump), Darell Sunchild (shot put, discus, javelin, 1,600 meters), Dustin Sunchild (shot put, discus, javelin, long jump), Tyson Whiteplume (200, 300-meter hurdles, 400, 1,600), Randle Whitford (200, 400, long jump, high jump) round out the boys' roster.
The duo of Jolin Demontiney (shot put, discus, javelin), and Jaline Small (100, 200, discus, javelin, long jump) will compete for the girls.
Darell and Dustin Sunchild should look to do well in the shot put, an event where they have been successful already this season.
