Tonight's local candidates forum is a great opportunity for area voters to meet and quiz the candidates who could create laws that will impact Montanans for years.
The free forum, sponsored by the Daily News, Business and Professional Women, and the Holiday Village Shopping Center merchants, is slated to start at 7 and will most likely last a couple of hours.
But the 120-minute forum may be the best investment local voters can make for the Havre area.
These potential candidates are not only our friends and neighbors, but they also know how we feel and what our needs are to improve life in the Havre area.
The forum will feature House District 90 race candidates Antoinette (Toni) Hagener, democrat, and Merlin Wolery, Republican; House District 91 race Roberta Demarest, democrat, and John Musgrove, democrat.
Four candidates in non-contested races will also attend the forum includes Kathy Bessette , democrat, Hill County Commissioner; Dena Tippets, democrat, Hill County Clerk of District Court; John Warner, non-partisan, Judge District 12; Matt McCann, democrat, Representative House District 92.
Take the time to stop at the mall tonight and listen to the candidates. It may be the best investment of one's time ever.
