The Fort Benton Longhorns are serving up a very tough team for the upcoming Divisional B/C tennis tournament.
The singles' team will be led into action by No. 1-ranked divisional player Lacey Schultz.
Schultz, in the last matchup of the divisional teams, won the Chinook/Chester Invitational with an 8-2 win over Chester's Kali Nelson.
Kristen Bailey occupies the No. 2 singles' slot on the team, followed by Janae Singer and Callie Olson, Nos. 3 and 4.
In doubles, Mary Ghekiere and Stacie Wellman will be Fort Benton's best shot at a title. The duo is currently ranked No. 2 in the division.
The other team competing for the doubles' title will be the No. 2 team of Kristen Scott and Angela McKenzie.
The Longhorns, who finished second at the divisional tournament with 31 points last year, are coached by Carley Vielleux.
The Big Sandy Pioneers tennis team is looking forward to overcoming the challenging season with a good showing at the tournament.
Competing for the doubles' title will be the No. 1 team for the Pioneers Amanda Pokorny and Darice Grass. The No. 2 team of Ashley Mose and Eeva Kotoija will also compete.
In singles' action, the team is led by No. 1 player, Laura Edward. Jessica Sheehy is the No. 2 player.
Laura Dyrland and Bridget Field round out the team.
Raelynn Genereux is the head coach. The Pioneers finished fourth at the tournament last season.
