Even at the junior high level, the KG KouGars are dominant.
The KG boys placed first at the Junior High Track Meet with 142 points two weeks ago.
The KouGars placed first in six of 16 events.
Chae Clements, an eighth grader, won the 100 meters with a time of 11.5, the 200 meters with a time of 24.5, and the 400 meters with a time of 56.7.
Clements was the biggest point-getter on the day with 42.5.
Luke Antonich won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.7. He also in eighth grade.
Antonich was also on the 400-meter relay team, along with Clements, Forest Letang, and Richie Melby, that won with a time of 50.9.
Melby was the second-biggest point-getter with 36.5. He also placed third in the javelin, second in the long jump, first in the triple jump, and first in the high jump.
Antonich earned the third-most points with 32.5.
Big Sandy placed second at the meet with 95 points. Box Elder was third with 86.
Skylar Pearson of Big Sandy placed third in the 200, third in the long jump, second in the triple jump, and was on the 1,600-meter relay team who placed first.
The team, comprised of Jay Jamieson, Adam Jespersen, Gage Brumwell, and Pearson, finished the race in four minutes, 23 seconds.
Brumwell placed second in the 1,600 meters and first in the discus, in addition to the long relay.
Box Elder was paced by Dustin Flying, who placed fifth in the 200, first in the 1,600, fourth in the high jump, and second in the 400-meter relay.
Adam Ketchum, James Burns, Cole Henderson, and Flying were on the relay that finished in 54.5 seconds.
The Blue Sky Eagles thundered through the district meet with a 153-point first-place finish.
J-I was second with 66 points and Rocky Boy third with 64 points. KG had 60 points on the day.
Lindsey Anderson led the field with the most points (46) which she earned in the 100, 100-meter hurdles, 200, 300 hurdles, and long jump.
Anderson placed first in the 200 with a time of 30.7 and first in the long hurdles with a time of 57.2. She also placed first in the long jump, leaping 13-5.
Robyn Schnitzmeier of Blue Sky placed first in the 800 with a time of 2:50.9. She also placed first in the 1,600 with a time of 6:22.9.
Kaila Warren was also a big point-getter for Blue Sky. Warren placed third in the short hurdles, first in the 400 (74.2), second in the long jump, fourth in the high jump, and was a member of the first-place finishing 1,600-meter relay team.
Heather Haas and Brianne Horinek joined Schnitzmeier and Warren on the team, who ran the race in 5:11.7.
Alisha Fossen paced J-I, with first-place finishes in the 100 (14.2), 100 hurdles (18.4), and second-place finishes in the 200, high jump, and 400-meter relay.
Shana St. Pierre led the way for Rocky Boy. She placed first in the high jump and shot put, and placed second in the 400, second in the javelin, and third in the discus.
