The Chinook Sugarbeeter track team will be making its mark at the District 2B track meet Saturday at Glasgow.
The Sugarbeeters were last in action at the Top 10 meet, held at the track at Glasgow more than one week ago.
Casey Schmidt placed fourth in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:58.5 against competition from all classes.
He should look to do well at districts in the distance races.
Mike Maddox is strong in the sprints, while Matt Roseberry could grab some points in the long hurdles.
On the girls' side, Caroline Moores and Jennifer Olson are strong in the sprints.
In her last outing, Moores ran placed sixth in the 100 meters with a time of 13.51. However, places 2, 4, and 5 went to Class A competition.
Olson placed sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 28.59.
Jacy Sheppard should look to do well in the middle distance runs, while Katie Hoffman could represent the Sugarbeeters well in the throwing events.
Amber Hofeldt is strong in the distance races.
While Malta is deep and powerful and the meet favorite to sweep both the boys' and girls' titles, at the Malta Invitational earlier this year, the Chinook girls placed third at the meet.
The 'Beeters' 400-meter relay is also a big point-getter for Chinook.
