Shauntey Evelyn LaMere, 9, of Harlem, died Saturday, May 6, 2000 at an Edmonton, Alberta, Canada hospital of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver.
Wake will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy and continue between 1 and 2 p.m. Thursday at Red Whip Center in Fort Belknap Agency.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Red Whip Center in Fort Belknap with Pastor Joe Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Bell Cemetery in Fort Belknap.
LaMere was born May 17, 1990 in Havre to Jamie Jean Beaumont and Shawn LaMere. She attended school at Harlem Elementary, Rocky Boy Elementary and Lodgepole Elementary schools. She was attending fourth grade at Harlem at the time of her death.
LaMere's hobbies included writing, drawing, shopping, spending time with her little brother, Kenny, and her many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kenny LaMere, Sr.; great-grandparents: Preston Bell, Dave LaMere, Eunice Sanchez and Grace King; uncle, David Bell.
Survivors include her parents, Jamie Beaumont of Harlem and Shawn LaMere of Rocky Boy; three brothers, Kenny LaMere of Lodgepole, Marvis Ariwite LaMere and Delane Ariwite LaMere, both of Blackfoot, Idaho; paternal grandmother, Evelyn "Toni" Gardipee of Rocky Boy; maternal grandmother, Signa "Dodie" Bell of Fort Belknap; maternal grandfather, Ronald Beaumont, Sr. of Pryor; great-grandparents, George and Jolene Gardipee of Rocky Boy; great-grandmother, Sina Bell of Fort Belknap; maternal great-grandparents, Philip and Martha Beaumont, Sr. of Pryor, and Irvin and Sarah Sings Good, of Pryor.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
