The Brownsville Revival meetings have been extended for Havre because of the "powerful sense of the presence of God," Pastor Charlie Moody said.
In a news release issued Wednesday, Moody said that the North Central Revival Committee has added another week to the revival's appearance at the old JCPenney location in the Havre Holiday Village Shopping Center. The revival, originally scheduled for May 9 through 13, will appear again from Tuesday, May 16, through Saturday, May 20.
Doors open at 6 p.m. each night and the revival begins at 7 p.m.
"People from all over the state of Montana and surrounding states, as well as Canada, have attended these meetings during the week," Moody said. "The response of those attending has been that of a powerful sense of the presence of God moving to meet the spiritual hunger and thirst of the people."
Moody, pastor at Havre Foursquare Gospel Church, is one of the leading lights in bringing the revival from Pensacola, Fla. to the Hi-Line.
Moody said "multitudes flock to the altar nightly" to experience what he called a strong touch and refreshing for a variety of needs.
"It is not unusual to for those attending to be stirred to a deepened sense of commitment to the Lord," he said. "Healings, salvations, deliverances and increased faith comprise much of the testimonies that are heard."
Moody urges everyone to attend the remainder of this week's meetings and the meetings next week.
The 12-person Brownsville Revival Ministry Team will host a meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Chinook High School auditorium, Moody said.
"All meetings are free and open to all," Moody said. "Bring a friend."
