WHITEFISH Doris Stinger LaVoy, 69, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at a Whitefish care center of natural causes.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish with her son, Lyndon Knowlton, officiating.

LaVoy was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Fairfield, to Harold and Grace Stinger. The family moved to Flathead Valley in 1941. She received her education in Whitefish.

LaVoy spent most of their married life in Havre. Her husband, Lloyd, died in 1996. She returned to the Flathead Valley in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother.

Survivors include sons, Lyndon Knowlton of San Diego, Brent Knowlton of Tulsa, Okla., and Mike LaVoy of Whitefish; daughters, Lana Ocker of Seattle, Wash., and Mellisa Facundus of Clarkston, Wash.; sisters, Ella Hill and Joanne Brousseau of Kalispell, Carolyn McConville of Whitefish, Cheryl Rounds of Yellow Bay, and Carla Corbally of Great Falls; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to North Valley Extended Care Center in Whitefish.
