With the last day of summer on the horizon, the Havre High rodeo club has not let it slip away without notching some big results.
At Wolf Point last weekend, Havres Denali Solomon, the Montana High School rodeo queen, placed first in the barrel racing event with a time of 17.472.
Morgan Strauser of Chinook took the steer wrestling competition in a 7.92.
Will Haugen scored a first place 60 in the bareback event. The next day, he also won the event with a 62.
Todd Owens of Havre finished second in the event with a 49.
Kelli Schmitt of Chinook grabbed a second place finish in pole bending with a time of 22.195. She also finished fifth in the barrels Monday in 18.391.
Sunday, Schmitt tallied a seventh place finish in the barrels with an 18.236.
Clinton Pankratz and Ashley Buck won the two-day average in team roping.
Solomon placed third in the girls all-around Sunday.
