District personnel inspect new roof at Lincoln-McKinley

By Alan Sorensen

A walk-through to view the completed roof and other work at Lincoln-McKinley Elementary School is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Ric Floren, director of buildings and grounds, included a progress report on the Lincoln-McKinley project during his review of district-wide summer projects before the school board last Tuesday.

Other than about four or five hours of work devoted to finish work, the roof was completed on Tuesday. It had been scheduled for completion on Sept. 3, but work was delayed by unforeseen problems and sub contractors who were delayed.

The insulation installation was scheduled for completion last Wednesday, Floren said, as was the drainage on the roof. The rain gutters and other items removed for the roof construction were expected to be back in place by Friday.

The final cost of the project was about $1,000 less than the engineers original estimate.

Floren said another $252,500 worth of projects were completed at buildings and facilities throughout Havre over the summer:
