A golden retriever was apparently too good at doing what comes naturally to his breed west of Havre Saturday.
As an uninvited guest at MSU-Northerns invitational golf tournament Saturday, the hunt-and-fetch canine unintentionally disrupted play.
Hill County deputies responded to the Beaver Creek Country Club shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday on a complaint that the golden retriever was running around the golf course picking up golf balls that were in play.
The deputies took the dog into custody and tournament play continued.
