RAYMOND FRITZ

CHESTER Raymond Fritz, 81, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at a Chester hospital.

Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Chester. Burial will follow in the Chester Cemetery.

Fritz was born Oct. 13, 1917, northwest of Tiber to Illa Widlowski and Joseph Fritz. He received his education in Tiber and Chester.

On Nov. 8, 1941, he married Lillian Stubbe in Havre. The couple resided at the Fritz family farm.

He was employed as a welder in the shipyards in California during WWII. After the war, he returned to Montana to farm and ranch. He raised registered Hereford cattle for years and began crossbreeding.

Fritz was a past member of the Marias Hereford Breeders and the American Hereford Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leonard, a sister, Jean and two granddaughters, Karla and Amy.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Stubbe Fritz of Chester; daughters, Bonnie Johnson and Donna Griffin of Chester; sons, John Fritz of Chester and Robert Fritz of Chinook; sisters, Betty Struck of Mesa, Ariz. and Lillian Eggleston of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorials may be made to the Liberty County Ambulance Fund or donors choice.
