SHIRLEY MAE NEWBAUER obituary

Shirley Mae Newbauer, 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Northern Montana Hospital due to congestive heart failure.

Cremation has taken place and her memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Ulgenes officiating. Memorial contributions in Shirley’s honor may be made to a memorial of one’s choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Shirley was born Oct. 23, 1936, in Havre, Mont., to George A. and Leona (Jensen) Larson. She was raised in Havre, attending Havre public schools. She married Robert James Newbauer on Sept. 1, 1957, in Havre. The couple made their home in Havre and Shirley raised their six children. Shirley worked as a waitress for many years for various restaurants in the Havre area. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas with her family, gardening and shopping. She was preceded in death by her father, George Larson; her husband, Robert Newbauer; and sister, Georgia Stremcha. Shirley is survived by her mother, Leona Larson of Havre, Mont.; her children: Allen “Newt” Newbauer of Havre, Mont., Robert (Debra ) Newbauer Jr. Of Havre, Mont., Lisa Burchard of Sun Prairie, Mont., Karen Buchholz of Belgrade, Mont., Andrea (Frank) Kruse of Great Falls, Mont., and Patti Newbauer of Havre, Mont.; son-in-law, Tony Burchard of Great Falls, Mont.; adopted daughter, Michelle Tomaskie; best friend, Juanita Christiansen of Havre, Mont.; several nieces and nephews; 13 grandcildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
