Marjorie Marie Magda, 70, formerly of Lloyd, passed away Feb. 7, 2008, due to natural causes at Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center in Lewistown.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at 11 a. m. in the Assembly of God Church in Chinook with burial following at approximately 2 p. m. in Alice Nash Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook. Marge was born on Oct. 4, 1937 in Havre to Ray and Dorothy (Chapdalain) Hockett. She received her schooling in Havre. Marge was united in marriage to Richard Magda on Dec. 13, 1969, in Chinook. Together they ranched south of Chinook on the Raglan Bench until Richard passed away in 2002. Marge then moved to Lewistown in 2004, where she remained until her death. Some of Marge’s biggest enjoyments were cooking, country music, spending time with her family, friends, and going to gun shows all over the United States with her brother Glenn. Marge is survived by her sons, Dave (Lanette) Christopherson of Billings and Jerry (Amy) Magda of Lloyd; daughters, Lori (Jeff) Shaver of Great Falls and Norma (Mike) Monfils of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Magda; three sisters; two brothers, and a son, Ricky, in 1971.
