Velma Clara Hill Wigen, 86, who was raised and educated in Havre and enjoyed cards, ceramics, reading, television, cooking and canning, died of natural causes Nov. 24, 2008, at her home in Chester.
Private family viewing and prayers were 1 . m. Saturday at the Rockman Funeral Chapel in Chester. Cremation followed. She is survived by four sons, Elbert Hatcher of Havre, Dennis Hill of Elkmont, Ala., Lauren Hill of Devon, and Warren Hill of Chester; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Effie Stowman of Havre, and her husband, Jurgen Wigen of Devon.
