Bowling season now in full swing in Havre

Marlene Pizzini For the Havre Daily News pixie@mtintouch.net

The bowling season is in full swing at Hi-Line Lanes. Havre Youth held registration Sunday with a small turn out. Regardless, the leagues will begin this Sunday. The Bantams and Preps will begin promptly at 1 p.m. so please be there at least 30 minutes early. Majors and Juniors should be at the lanes by 2:30 p.m. if not earlier. You will still be able to register and bowl. Registration fee is $11 and must be paid before bowling the first time. Any questions should be directed to Chris at 265-5317. Jackpot bowling is back. The fun night will be held every Saturday at 8 p. m. It sounds like there was a good turn out last Saturday for a Halloween celebration. Need more information, call the lanes at 265-5885. I was hoping to rush the weeks by a little faster (I want the elections over) so I jumped the gun last week on b-days. Happy again and election day can’t come soon enough. Carol Chagnon picked a 2-4-5-10, Mel Fee a 4-7-10, Peggy Christofferson a 4-10, Jackie Mayer and Lynette Harada both picked 5-10s, Doris Howard a 3-7-10, Dianne Watson a 4-5; and this one a 5-6. Did anyone tell Christy Holden we were “off” for a year? Christy rolled back-to-back games and a series of 210, 592 and 210, 578. Barb DeRosa shot a 209, 530 and Ruth Vukasin a 514. Shawn Mariani is showing no signs of rust either. Shawn had a 228, 621, a 631, and a 245 and 620. Lorin Teske shot a 235 and Bret Preeshl a 590. Shawn also had the high four-game of 854. Ken Riska had a 793 and Ron Tompt a 783. The season has started like many others and may I remind you once again, I will not guess on last names and I will not add up your scores.
