A welcome home party will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Havre Vets Club for returning area National Guard troops.
Several Hi-Line soldiers in the 1-190th and the 3669th ARNG units have returned from deployment. Residents of Havre and surrounding communities are encouraged to show their appreciation for the service these men and women have provided their communities, state and nation.
Organizers also hope to express their gratitude to any regular full-time military personnel who may be home on leave or retiring. Anyone who knows of someone in the military who will be in Havre this weekend is asked to call Kathy Long at 357-2266 or 357-2387, so that person can be added to the list of people to be thanked and honored.
The party is sponsored jointly by the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW Auxiliary, Disabled Vets and the Havre/Chinook Family Readiness Group.
