In preliminary results, released pending a recount, incumbent first-term Havre Mayor Tim Solomon, a Democrat, again won in a race against former mayor Republican Bob Rice. The first results showed Solomon defeating Rice 1,399-1,110 55.8 percent of the vote, winning in all four wards.
